Psychotherapy
“At the center of your being you have the answer: you know who you are and you know what you want.
Lao Tzu”
Healing begins when we are truly seen, heard, and met with empathy, attunement, and without judgment.
As a psychotherapist, I meet each person with openness, respect, and genuine presence. Whether you're reaching out for the first time or returning to therapy after time away, we'll begin where you are—not where you think you should be.
I provide secure online psychotherapy to adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples throughout California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Orange County, San Jose, and surrounding communities. Through a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, you can access therapy from the comfort, privacy, and convenience of your own home. I welcome individuals and couples from diverse cultural, religious, and spiritual backgrounds, recognizing that every person's experiences are shaped by their upbringing, lived experiences, value system, relationships, and the societies and cultures that have influenced their lives.

concerns about therapy
concerns about therapy
For many people, reaching out for psychotherapy is one of the hardest steps to take. Feelings of shame, self-doubt, or the belief that you should keep your struggles private or be able to manage everything on your own can make reaching out feel difficult.
For some, family expectations, cultural beliefs, concerns about what others may think, or uncertainty about whether psychotherapy aligns with their personal, religious, cultural, or spiritual values can become additional barriers.
It’s also natural to wonder whether a psychotherapist from a different gender identity or sexual orientation will truly be able to relate to your experience.
All of the apprehensions about working with a psychotherapist whose cultural or ethnic background, gender identity, and sexual orientation differ from your own are valid and understandable.
And if you are among those who feel you should have been able to handle things on your own, you're not alone. Reaching out for support isn't a sign of weakness—it is a powerful act of courage to ask for support from a loved one or a professional psychotherapist to help you unpack your emotions, thoughts, and life story.
As a culturally sensitive therapist, I hold space for these barriers and guiding principles without judgment, honoring the cultural, religious, and family context you bring into the room.
I recognize that each person's story is shaped and is a culmination of nature and nurture—what they have lived and learned throughout their lives. Neither individual therapy nor couples therapy asks you to leave those parts of yourself behind. Rather, it is about gently unraveling what lies beneath the suffering and pain, how different facets of your life have shaped you, and integrating those experiences into your being in a way that regulates your nervous system and honors who you are.
It is natural to wonder whether therapy can be just as meaningful through a screen. Many people worry that online psychotherapy may feel impersonal, make it harder to build a genuine therapeutic relationship, or limit the depth of the work.
In my experience, meaningful therapeutic relationships can develop just as deeply online. Secure online psychotherapy offers the opportunity to process emotions, work though trauma, strengthen nervous system regulation, and cultivate lasting change from the comfort and privacy of your own environment. Many people also find that meeting from a familiar space allows them to feel more grounded, making it easier to engage in the therapeutic process.
Your privacy and confidentiality are central to our work together. All online sessions are conducted through a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform in accordance with California privacy and telehealth standards, helping protect the confidentiality of your personal information.
At the beginning of our work together, we will also establish a clear local safety plan, including appropriate emergency contacts and resources based on your location. This ensures that appropriate supports are in place should an urgent situation ever arise, allowing us to focus on the therapeutic work with greater confidence and peace of mind.
During your complimentary consultation, we can also explore whether online psychotherapy is the right fit for your needs and answer any questions you may have.
Being In Therapy
Being In Therapy
Psychotherapy is an opportunity to pause, turn inward, reflect, cultivate awareness, honor yourself, deepen self-trust, heal what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your authentic self.
Regardless of your race, ethnicity, culture, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, or life experiences, therapy offers a space where you can be seen, heard, accepted, and supported with compassion, without judgment, and respect.
During online therapy sessions, we'll gradually untangle your thoughts, emotions, core beliefs, relationships, and life experiences with empathy, curiosity, and care. This process can help individuals and couples to shed light on longstanding patterns, regulate their nervous system, feel grounded, and build relationships that feel more secure and connected.
Does life feel overwhelming? Do you find yourself feeling anxious, lonely, emotionally exhausted, or stuck?
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, trauma, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others, you do not have to navigate it alone.
Individual therapy offers a confidential, accepting, non-judgmental, and safe environment where you can speak openly, explore your experiences, and feel understood without needing to hide parts of yourself. In this space, we'll gently explore your inner world—your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, relationships, and the impact of past experiences—to help you get to know yourself more fully.
As therapy unfolds, people begin to apply what they've learned to their day-to-day lives, and notice they feel less overwhelmed by their emotions, respond more intentionally instead of reacting automatically, communicate more openly, and experience a stronger sense of connection with themselves and the people who matter most. Rather than simply reducing symptoms, our work focuses on processing and making sense of the experiences that shaped them, creating lasting change from the inside out and a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Therapy is a journey of knowing yourself, healing, and embracing your authentic self—and I'm honored to walk alongside you.
Do you find yourselves having the same argument over and over? Feeling misunderstood, emotionally disconnected, lonely in your relationship, or wondering why communication has become so difficult?
Most couples begin their relationship with hope, love, and the desire to build a meaningful life together. Yet every relationship encounters challenges. Conflict is not a sign that something is wrong; it is a natural part of two unique individuals learning to navigate life together.
Whether you are married, engaged, dating, in a committed partnership, in a situationship, or in any other form of intimate relationship, relationship challenges can arise. These may include unmet emotional needs, communication difficulties, differences in values, financial stress, cultural differences, life transitions, emotional disconnection, feelings of being misunderstood or invalidated, betrayal, infidelity, personal triggers, unmet expectations, or difficulty identifying and expressing emotions.
In couples therapy, the relationship itself becomes the client. It is common to worry that the therapist may take one person's side. My role is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to help each partner better attune to themselves, each other, and the patterns that keep the relationship stuck. We will identify the underlying challenges together, creating a safe, balanced space where both partners feel heard, respected, and truly seen.
Rather than assigning blame, we'll become curious about the patterns beneath the conflict and lean into new ways of relating to one another.
We will explore the patterns within your relationship, strengthen emotional safety, improve communication, build on your existing strengths, regulate the nervous system in the presence of one another, rebuild trust, deepen intimacy and connection, and foster greater compassion and respect. My hope is that therapy helps your difficult conversations become less about winning or defending yourself and more about understanding one another, so that trust can be rebuilt and emotional closeness restored.
Let's work together to transform the dance of your relationship into one of greater connection, trust, authenticity, emotional security, and lasting fulfillment.
